I learned these at SCS and they live with me always - both professionally and personally.
From your SCS experience, what is foundational to who you are today?
We learned that girls can do anything - and that we shouldn’t pay too much attention to what other people think. This is especially true for smart and capable women.
We learned how to aspire to be whatever we wanted to be - and then to do it!

What have you found most satisfying about your chosen career path?
I have raised good, strong, independent children and have taught them how to take charge of their own finances, in order to take charge of their own futures.
This is also true for my clients - they are able to take charge of their lives because of my care and wisdom in this field.
What does it mean to be part of the SCS Alum community?
It’s impressive to meet and be connected with so many fascinating women with incredible careers, lives, and experiences.
What advice do you have for young Alums, just starting on their path?
Find a cheerleader: someone who can help and mentor you in a positive way.
Exactness of communication and clarity of speech is important.
Be clear about your goals and have the confidence to go after them.
What advice do you have for today’s SCS students?
This is the time to learn that this is your life, and to figure out the ways to find your passion and your drive.
Be clear about your values and dreams.
