From your SCS experience, what is foundational to who you are today?

With a focus on curiosity, you end up knowing a little bit about everything. It helps you relate to people and I truly think you become a well-rounded person because of it.

What have you found most satisfying about your chosen career path?

I get to work on brands that are part of Canadians’ day-to-day lives. People interact with the work I do on a daily basis.

I love to bring my passion to the programs I deliver on behalf of Canada’s most notable brands.

What makes you a Trailblazer?

I have been able to carry forward what I learned at SCS into my career.

At SCS you always have so much on the go and this gives you the ability to manage so many things and feel energized rather than overwhelmed.

You’re encouraged to have a strong point of view, and to feel comfortable in voicing your opinion.

As a current student, or a future alum, if you don’t know where to start, the Alum Association is always available to help and chat and get you going in the right direction.

We’re here for you.

What does it mean to be part of the SCS Alum community?

For me, it means having a group of supporters that are always in your corner. At the base level, they have an understanding of where you came from and they can relate to you, and they can help you on your path forward, if you need them.

What advice do you have for today’s SCS students?

Take part in everything that SCS has to offer. There are so many opportunities and clubs and courses you can take. You’re only there for a set period of time, so take advantage of what you can.

It’s a safe environment to take risks. Try out different things and you might find something you love and didn’t expect.

What advice do you have for young Alums, just starting on their path?

My biggest advice is to remain flexible. Sometimes you’re making a decision, like where to go to university or picking an internship, and it feels like if you make the wrong decision, the rest of your life is ruined. Life is short, but life is long and you have a lot of opportunities to change direction. Remaining flexible is a huge asset.

The community is something that drew me to SCS in the first place. It’s a powerful group where you can always find someone who has advice or experience in a certain area.

There’s an openness for Clementines to help Clementines and that never goes away.
